Viwanda Light Aircraft & renewable Energy is an initiative of Gabriel Nderitu from kenya.

 

Objective.

Research and build in kenya two models of fixed wing light aeroplanes (Single and two place) that are simple safe reliable,easy to operate for use in recreational and short range transport with max range about 100 miles ( 166 km) using  40 -100 hp engines. A version of the single seat can also be used as static technology and concepts demonstrator.

Much of this effort has been through private study and research.

Why ELIMU VIWANDA NAME.

The key PUBLIC POLICY challenge in Kenya as well as many developing 

countries is how to solve  UNEMPLOYMENT where in most countries

runs to 50% fueling crime and other forms of social delinquency.

ELIMU means Education Swahili language and

VIWANDA means industrialisation.

These are two themes that this project has always advocated out of my own                                                                                                                                conviction that they can solve the youth unemployment challenge in

Kenya and indeed African countries. Through universal quality skill based

education and a renewed focus on manufacturing sector just as

Germany, Japan,singapore,south korea,china and others did with obvious benefits. Manufacturing sector is driven by

the private sector We all do know that for manufacturing to flourish as a creator of mass jobs it requires 

sufficient ELECTRICITY, EDUCATION,EXCELLENT TRANSPORT INFRASTRACTURE

,INCENTIVES ,GOOD GOVERNANCE,SECURITY,

POLITICAL (WILL,STABILITY  AND FOCUS),ENVIRONMENTAL CARE,RESPECT FOR WORKERS RIGHTS AND WELFARE.
